‘Tis the Season

The holiday season is upon us, and whether you’re celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Festivus, there’s a tangible excitement in the air. We here at FG are all catching the bug, and not just the cold that’s going around the Valley! The giving bug has hit us all and we are all doing what we can to try to give as much as we have received throughout the year.

This week, we are partnering with our client, Big Rock Pub, in collecting winter gear for Street Life Project. These coats/hats/blankets/gloves/sweaters will be distributed on December 27 and can be dropped off at our office (74020 Alessandro, Palm Desert – today through Friday at noon). If you are in the neighborhood of BRP – or are nowhere near there but want to have a rockin’ good time – then head there on Friday night to bring your clean coats and blankets to those in need. There’s a band playing that night from 9 pm to midnight and its lead vocalist is amazingly talented – and we would be saying that even if it weren’t our own lovely Lisa Morgan, production manager extraordinaire! In sum: come for the giving, stay for the fantastic music/food.

Many of our other clients have year-end fundraisers that we are proud to be a part of – both in promoting and personally giving. Desert Cancer Foundation is holding their Gift of Giving fundraiser, in hopes of raising much-needed dollars to provide care to Coachella Valley residents treating cancer. Another client, the Dr. Carreon Foundation, aims to raise funds for scholarships given to college-bound Hispanic youth in Coachella Valley. Many bright and successful valley residents are former Carreon scholarships, including Raul Ruiz, Eduardo Garcia and many more. Please consider them in your charitable giving, and click here to find out more: https://www.facebook.com/donate/10211221060585355/

So whatever worthy charity you choose and however much you can give, give from you heart. And most importantly…have happy, healthy, fun and fantastic holidays from all of us here at FG!
