‘Tis the Season to be Busy!

As we head into November, we are left feeling like the prettiest girls (and boy) at the ball; our dance cards are completely full. Coming off back-to-back team 5k runs, two weekends of music festivals, several client grand openings and then Halloween, we barely have time to take a breath before diving into the madness that is “season”.

We began our October by running in the Y Be Fit Palm Desert Challenge 5k, where Chelsea and Stephanie started their day off with a run and ended it with congratulatory Bloody Marys! Next up was Rock the Ribbon, a ROCKIN’ fun event at an exciting new venue, Big Rock Pub located in the Indian Springs Golf Club. This event was the kick-off for Paint El Paseo Pink, which was that weekend. Speaking of Paint El Paseo Pink, this is one of our very favorite charitable events! The sea of pink all throughout our favorite street serves as encouragement as you walk (or run) the 5k that goes to supporting Desert Cancer Foundation and their amazing cause.

Then came Desert Trip, which can be summed up with this quote, “If you remember Desert Trip, you weren’t really at Desert Trip.” And that’s really all we have to say about that! We all had the one-of-a-kind vintage shirts from BG’s El Paseo and still are arguing over which one was the best… Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, or the one with the Rolling Stones logo. We’ll update once the decisions are final.

Over the past month, we’ve been launching new websites left and right. Check them out!

Needless to say, we’ve been keeping our tech guru, Chelsea, busy!

This evening, we have a grand opening celebration for one of our favorite clients, Barton CPA. Another grand (re)opening follows in November, with another one of our favorite clients, CODA Gallery. (Fine, they’re all our favorites!)

After this week, we can finally catch our breaths. Just kidding! Just after Halloween, we have a weekend of events we’ve been anticipating all summer long – Palm Desert First Weekend (see above for link!) We love this event every year, but this particular one has us bursting with excitement. The weekend of November 4 kicks off the season of First Weekend events, starting on our favorite street, with El Paseo Cruise Night and Art Walk El Paseo. Then we head just a tad further west for Street at the Westfield Mall. This exciting, edgy event combines art with food, music, fashion, and fun. Get a feel for what goes on there on their website: www.palmdesertstreetscene.com. There are many, many other events to suit anyone’s fancy. I could list off the fun ones, but I’d just be naming all of them, so here they are: www.pdfirstweekend.com

Then on Saturday night, November 5, we’re getting our cowgirl on with Family YMCA of the Desert’s annual Hoedown at Sundown at Agua Caliente Casino & Resort. We’re shining up those boots and dusting off those hats and heading on over for the best auction items and BBQ dinner in town! Plus we hear there’s line dancing and a hosted bar, so we’re pretty excited about that too.

Whew…so that’s our fall so far, in a nutshell. Stop in and say hello to us – some of us may be too busy to say hello back, but sweet Cindy always has a bowl full of Halloween candy you can dip into.

Happy “Season” to all – don’t forget to turn your clocks back an hour on the 30th!
