Ah summer – a time to relax, restore, recharge…ramp up? This time of year, everything slows down in the desert, although not as much as it used to. Stores switch over to their summer hours, many businesses take off a few days a week, and there’s a tangible laidback energy in the air for the permanent residents and business people.
What better time to strategize a plan of attack for the upcoming season? Here at FGC, we have four new crew members on board (with varying lengths of “new”). That means four creative mind’s worth of fresh ideas for branding, marketing, public relations, advertising, social media and other outside-the-box ways to innovate and invigorate our clients’ campaigns. This is the time of year that we like to brainstorm, review, analyze and put together new campaigns and new solutions.
Allow me to introduce the new (and new-ish) team members. First up, we have Lisa Morgan, our Production Manager. Lisa has done it all, from television production, radio copywriting and sales, to writing for popular local publication CV Weekly (she continues to be the lead writer). When not using her attention to detail and organization skills to keep us all in line, you can find Lisa volunteering (and even founding) non-profits or giving her vocal pipes a workout while singing in award-winning local bands.
Tricia Witkower is our writer extraordinaire – social media, ad copy, helping Chris with press releases, web copy…you name it, and she’s whipping up content apropos her “Wit-ty” name. She has a background in fundraising and marketing and joins us from San Diego. Born in Santa Barbara and raised in New England, she is East Coast sharp and California cool.
Kim Warpinski, our lead Account Executive, sailed (figuratively) into Palm Desert from Annapolis, MD where she began her career in the D.C. public affairs scene and subsequently switched gears to non-profit work. Kim is ambitious and has a knack for strategizing effective client campaigns. She thrives in a dynamic and challenging work environment and is eager to build a strong rapport with our clients. She sets the bar high for herself and at six feet tall easily reaches it.
Last, but certainly not least, Kurt Schawacker signed on permanently as our Account Coordinator. With a background in graphic design, audio visual and arts, Kurt brings his valuable artistic capabilities to the table at FGC. He is optimistic, driven, and loves being involved in a local growing community. Kurt is the most introverted of our team, but if you buy him a cream soda and mention the Philadelphia Eagles, you’ll have him talking for hours.
So feel free to pop in this summer to see FGC’s creative evolution in process, and of course to grab some free candy from Cindy’s bowl! We are happy to sit and chat, and discuss how our team can help move the needle and gain your company that much-needed ROI.
