One aspect of having a marketing firm in the Greater Palm Springs area, or the Coachella Valley, is helping out the various charitable non-profit organizations. And there are MANY! All are active, engaged and seem to fill the niches that serve a surprising number of needs. From the large, national groups like the United Way, American Heart Association and others, to the truly local ones such as Women Leaders Forum, Christopher’s Clubhouse and Loving All Animals, these groups truly dedicate an amazing amount of energy and resources to those in need.
Here at FG Creative, we have assisted many over the years… sometimes with our time, other times with our talents and always with our treasure through donations. The FGC staff gives so much back, it’s such as honor to work with this team.
Over the last few months, we have increased our non-profit client base due to the unbelievable demand. The downturn economy has severely depleted their budgets, their donor base and their grant awards, from all sources including federal, state and local. Many have closed their doors, however the population they serviced are still in need. It seems that building the name recognition and awareness of these various charities is much more critical than ever before.
We recently assisted the Health Assessment Resource Center (HARC) in promoting their Tri-Ennial Data Study launch, www.HARCdata.org, which clearly charts the health and wellness of the Coachella Valley. The conclusions are staggering… with the numbers climbing in all the wrong directions. More people who go hungry, more elder-care abuse, more people uninsured and unable to get ongoing care. The list goes on. The upside of this study is that the local non-profits can utilize these statistics in their grant requests, more clearly defining the needs to the funding sources, and hopefully bringing much-needed grant funding to the Coachella Valley.
FG Creative is proud to be helping the Family YMCA of the Desert, Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, Green Acres Sustainable Living Farm, HARC, the Palm Springs Art Museum at Palm Desert, Palm Springs Women in Film & TV (PSWIFT) and others in their efforts to secure proper funding, and providing services to our Valley residents in need. From social media to branding, public relations and publicity to websites and SEO, we are always happiest when coming up with solutions and seeing results. The rewards are just a little sweeter, right?
